A healthy community is a community full of compassion and care. The health education and support Program include:<\/p><p><strong>a) WASH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene)<\/strong><br \/>This program aim to achieve:<\/p><ol><li>To provide clean drinking water for the people of Rusinga Island<\/li><li>To provide safe drinking water to 50% of the schools and Fishing beaches within Rusinga Island<\/li><li>To ensure that 90% of the people of Rusinga has toilets. 100% of all fishing beaches along Rusinga has toilet and community Bathrooms<\/li><li>To build community toilets in all the fishing beaches along the shores of Rusinga Island by the end of 2027.<\/li><li>To train communities and the learning institutions on all WASH programs.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>b) Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Rights ( SRH&amp;R) and Preventive Health<\/strong><br \/>This programs aim to achieve:<\/p><ol><li>Train all primary schools and secondary school students within Rusinga Island on SRH&amp;R).<\/li><li>Train 200 Youths annually on SRH&amp;R<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>c) PSEAH (Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harm)<\/strong><br \/>This program aim to achieve:<\/p><ol><li>To train all the residents living along the fishing beaches about PSEAH<\/li><li>To train 100 families per year about PSEAH and targeting 1000 families within Rusinga Island and Mbita town by the end of 2027.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>d) Mental Health\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p>This programs aim to achieve:<\/p><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--background); font-family: var(--e-global-typography-text-font-family);\">To support community members by providing a safe centre where all the mental health trainings and support services can be accessed easily. We therefore intend to provide trainings on:<\/span><\/p><ol><li><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--background); font-family: var(--e-global-typography-text-font-family);\">Mental Health Awareness<\/span><\/li><li>Sexual Harassment at workplace<\/li><li>Managing Addiction and its challenges<\/li><li>Family\/Community Unity and Togetherness<\/li><\/ol><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Health Education and Support A healthy community is a stable community.
